Flooring becomes important today as people now understand how significant it can be. A good building design with bad flooring is just the same as nothing. Whether it is not suited with the design or the floor is not; bad flooring choice can really make the design look worse. Imagine a simple, modern contemporary looks where all the objects are shiny, metallic, hard-edged, and have clear forms. But unfortunately the flooring is carpet, not hardwood or ceramic. It destroys all the good look the designer has built. Then, we know that choosing the right flooring will always be important, as it has its own role on making the building looks great. Now, we will talk about Flagstone Flooring, the flooring which usually used to cover walkways or sideways. It also used for fences, patios, and roofing.

Flagstone means turf; it has its name derived from Middle English, flagge. The Flagstone is already popular for its use as paving from the early 1900s. The Flagstone is a natural stone, and classified as sedimentary stone, which means it’s made from the hardening of the sediment layers because of heat and pressure. But we’re not talking about the geography here; the main thing today we will talk is “Are flagstones good enough for your choice as flooring?” It is of course, perfect, for flagstone to use as outdoor flooring as it is very hard and durable. It is a good choice as it’s able to resist heat, thus making the flooring cooler, the thing you need to have when summer.

Most people choose flagstone for their patio because reason said above. Patio is an outdoor space reserved for a simple dining place or recreation and is also usually paved. Most patios are paved with flagstone. Flagstone is also very durable as it can last long for centuries. Building or paving your patio with flagstone can be an easy do-it-yourself project, as the stone laid one by one, and also, people loves more irregular pattern when paving. It is heavy, though, so it will be very time consuming if you do this by yourself. If you do, paving with flagstone patio or sideways you pave will certainly last long, a great investment, isn’t it?
